A day In The Life Of A Mom

Not really in a day but over a few weeks. Being a mom is amazing but I surprise myself in how much I can get done in a few days. The kids are at a fun age but at times it's louder then ever. Jaden has had a lot of projects this year, here is yet another project. This one was really fun, I actually love to help with projects. It's just a matter of getting supplies and diving in. This was actually quite easy It was a cell model.
Lauren did really well in basketball. Next Sunday is her last game. In two weeks she is staring swim team. I am excited, this is brand new for her and all of us. She showed interest and it's good for her to be active so we will see.
I never posted these funny pictures of my friends Allison, Jen, and I at HomeGoods. I love HG so much, I just wish we had another one close by. This one is extremely crowded and picked over. As soon as it goes out it is gone. So anything really unique or a great value is gone in seconds. Maybe we will get one right by my house, that would be perfect!
Lauren making her selfie duck face. She is to funny, she is not into girly selfie talk so she thinks she's funny, which she is. She's all ready for Go Texans Day, a Texas holiday, ha ha. It's the start of the Rodeo here in Houston which is a big deal.
Our cats, who would have thought that these two animals would bring my children so much joy. They are fun, sweet and overly affectionate at times. These two have a love/hate relationship but you could never tell from the picture. Crosby was blessed in the looks department for sure!
My perfect center piece!!
Look how cute Lauren is, these spring pictures are usually cheesy but I loved hers. Jaden on the other hand had butterflies and a pose that made me crack up laughing. Who ever did our elementary pictures deserves a round of applause. A 7th grade boy however in a girl pose sitting in a garden is to much, I am laughing again. I can't wait to see Drew's! I am sure he hammed it up.
Meet Nikola Tesla!! Drew dressed up as Tesla for his school wax museum project. It's just like it sounds, the kids line the hallways dressed as famous people. It's really neat and enjoyable to walk through. He did a great job!
At least I am caught up a bit, over spring break we went to New Orleans and I will post those pics soon.

Easter and Baseball

Happy Easter Everyone!! A very bad quality but cute pic. Out of all the iPhones in the world I have a messed up one. One day it takes the best pictures ever and then the next day that they look like cell pics from 2004 (: Anyway we had a great weekend. I have dropped off blogging in the last year but I really want to keep on going because I enjoy making our family blog books so much. Life just keeps going so fast and I don't want to miss all of these memories or not print out pictures. That is another huge projects I do yearly is printing pictures, I am so paranoid that I make a lot of copies. In the future we won't even use discs or zip drives. We started the weekend off by going to a Texas A&M Baseball game. Rob loves his baseball and Drew too. It was sold out and very crowded. This is a great college and not far from us so there is a good chance my kids will be Aggies, lots of fun traditions with this school.
Kids had amazing grade cards. Lauren is still doing well, she had a few issues with sloppy writing and a few other things we are working on but she is still is doing very well. She really needed a new bike, again!! It is crazy we have gone through 3 bikes in the last 3 yrs with her, hope this one lasts a little longer. She is just so tall!!
Easter was great this year. A couple years ago my parents had a Easter Egg hunt and it has stuck. We will now have one every year from now until forever...They love it and so do we. Instead of lots of stuff in the Easter baskets we do a Easter egg hunt with money. Each year it has grown so I am sure we will have even more eggs next year.

Jaden won the Golden Egg which contained the biggest bill, $10. Drew previously won it 3yrs in a row so this was a good upset. I tried to bury it a bit but he found it pretty fast.
Here we are before church, rushing out the door trying to make the early service. We made it but went to the wrong service, it was the traditional non contemporary service which was later, ha ha. Those of you know what I am talking about. Great message but hymns instead of contemporary. It was great though, love our church!
I love them so!!
Drew has tons of clothes yet only has like two dress shirts, ha ha. It's always the same shirt in every picture.
She is so cute!! I bought this dress after Christmas at Nordstrom Rack for $4!! It looks perfect on her and so pretty!!
This kid knows how to dress, he loves preppy clothes. I love it!!
Lauren making Easter dinner with me, she poured all our sparkling cider into wine glasses
Drew was MIA probably playing PlayStation but Lauren and even Jaden enjoyed making eggs.
Jaden took this, not bad. Rob and I have very few pictures
Easter was so beautiful this year, love this time of year here. My garden is coming along!

Bathroom Mini Remodel

I could not find a picture of Lauren's/upstairs bathroom before. It looked exactly like the one below which my boys share. In the picture it doesn't look to bad but the lighting is awful. Not only is it dark the square lights are so ugly. When my dad visited back at Thanksgiving Rob and him started the tear down of the light box. It's been down a while but I have not posted. The boys bathroom will be next.
So much better, and brighter. The electricity was moved through the wall so that I could have normal lights. Beadboard was used as the back splash, so easy and beachy. It's amazing what a couple hundred dollars can do. It was a mess removing the box and repairing the wall by mudding and texturing. I am happy with this, it looks much better. There are so many little things you can do to your house that make a big difference.
