Zip Line Fun

This is not me but we did this last week and it was so fun. Not only was it beautiful it was so thrilling. It really was not the scary. At first it was but then towards the middle my fears were gone. If you live in Ohio or another state that does this, try it out you will love it

These pictures are from when we went to the Pittsburgh zoo a couple weeks ago. It was a really nice zoo. Lots of trees and they had a really nice newer addition along with a more established area that was nice. The kids are at the perfect age for the zoo.

They had really neat Tiger Sharks, and a Polar Bear exhibit. You could go through a tunnel and the Polar Bears were around you, so cool.
I thought this was funny!!
You could go in a tunnel and pet stingrays. Lauren liked it!!

Neat play area, it was old school with big climbing nets and tunnels. Really fun and huge!!
Drew loves turtles, of course they were arguing who got to sit in front. Since Drew loves turtles he won.
Such a fun time.
This weekend was a blast. Rob took me away for a weekend getaway. It was one of the best memories I have with him. I will post pictures soon!

VBS week

Hi Everyone!! This week is VBS at our church. It has been great! The best one I have ever been part of. I am so impressed by all the behind the scenes people that have put this all together. Were doing the Saddleback Ranch theme, our band is the real deal. Usually these things are sang with a CD our band is playing the music. The kids love it!!! I am teaching the 1st grade (going into second) so far it has been really fun. We go from 6-9 so needless to say when I get home I am tired. My kids are having a blast even Lauren has a little program to go to. Be back soon, but I need a little break!!

Day at the park

I am getting behind on a lot of my pictures but these were from a while back and I really like them. There is a really nice park not far from our house. The boys love to go fishing there and hiking. There are lots of little fish that pick your bait right off and there are a few bass. The boys usually catch something. We all really enjoy fishing, it is so relaxing.

On our hike, see Lauren trying to catch up in the back, lol

I really like this one. Lauren wants to be so much like her big brothers. Everyday she wants to wear this Reds shirt and a baseball hat. She recently got a pink OSU jersey that she carried around for the whole day and threw herself on the ground in a full rage when we put it away.

My boys are so funny, they just crack each other up. They are becoming little men and it is so fun to watch them.. They get on each others nerves one minute and they are best friends the next. They are my Two Grumpy Old Men (think the movie)

I love taking pictures at the park, the lighting is good, the green is so pretty. We all love the park.
Today I am thanking God for the many blessing I have. To often I get caught up in life and have a pity party for myself if things don't go ideal. I have been blessed more then I deserve with the love of a heavenly father and family. It is what I always dreamed and prayed about. God is so good!

dining room table

I have been looking for a new table for a while. I used to have a glass one that I got when we first got married. It was kind of a weird table but was really neat when all the wrought iron and glass was in, think 9-10yrs ago it was not practical at all for kids. I wanted something that was larger to fit our whole family and something we actually could use for holidays or when friends came over. I looked off Craigslist over and over and I actually found this one. I went out and looked at it and asked if they would take $100 for all which was a table and 6 chairs!!. She originally wanted $150 but it did have some bigger scratches. That was already cheap but it was just sitting in the garage and it was one of those situations where they just want it gone. So I asked and she said sure. It was such a tight fit getting all of this in my mini van a.k.a The Marshmallow. She has served me so well!! Thank God woman have such good Tetrus skills we fit it all in without a inch to spare. I took it home used my gel stain, which I love. It took most of scratches out of sight. I like it!! For now it works and if I get a new one in a few years I can sell this one for the same amount I am sure. It looks much more relaxed now. This looks super cluttered but I like the Parsons chairs on the ends. I am not leaving them in there for now though because I have to many chair in here. Did I say I like chairs

The table is really good quality and it even has a nice leaf that can make it even bigger.
Another Craigslist find were these chairs. I like the look of the covered dining chairs. I got them both for $20 and then found some decent covers from Sure Fit.
They are ugly underneath but they are comfortable and you can use them in a lot of different rooms.
Just wanted to share my super cheap Craigslist finds with you all. I have so much enjoyment fixing things up and decorating. Have a great weekend!!!

Fun few days and some new finds

Hi Friends,
It has been a great two days. We went with Rob on a business trip and got away on a mini vacation. We did some fun stuff. We went to the IKEA store which is so fun if you have never been there. Most of the stuff is contemporary or modern but you can mix a lot of it with whatever style that you like. The prices are really good and the quality is not bad at all. It is really fun to walk through a staged room by room store. We went one evening after Rob's work and the kids went in and played in the kids area. I love how the store is so family friendly. I only bought these plants and pots I thought they were cute.

This is a garage sale found After. The before is below. It is a really neat piece made in the 30-4o's I believe. It has metal feet. It was in bad shape but great painting shape. I love to Paint!! What a difference a little paint can make to a room, furniture or anything for that matter. It was only $8! I had the paint and it only took a little while to complete.
Not pretty is it?? I love finding cheap little pieces like this. I have slowed down in the painting lately but I think that is a good thing. I really haven't found to many great finds lately. It goes in spurts for me. I am due soon, so I keep hitting the junk sales. My kids are becoming bargain hunters.

Party Pictures

Lauren had a great birthday party. She had some little friends come and both her grandparents. She seemed to really enjoy herself and the cake of course.
Once again we had Dora! Two years in a row.
Rob and my dad went and picked up the cake. When Rob saw it there was icing running down the side and it looked really bad. The woman working looked at each other like the knew it which was even worse.. Rob asked about the messy icing and they made him a whole new cake. It was a really a great cake and was cute but Dora and Diego fell over when he brought it home, oh well.
Nana and Jaden. Isn't my moms dress so cute? She has some great taste if I may say so (:

I bought this Toucan Pinata. I almost bought Dora but she was $20 I could not fathom throwing her away after a few hits.
Lauren and her Nana
Lauren with Nana B and Grandpa B
Doesn't Drew have the cutest big brown eyes?
He is my snuggle bug I hope he never changes.

Lauren was all business here, she doesn't mess around.
I think she had a great birthday!!
