COSI fun

Cosi is the coolest place. If your ever in Columbus you will have to stop by. It is located right in the downtown area about 20 some min from our house so not to bad. It was rated #1 science museum by Parents Magazine last year I think. http://www.cosi.org/ Rob's dad got us a season pass for Christmas so we will defiantly be using it. Everything is hands on. Jaden loves it the most that is for sure, Mr. Science himself.
They have all these different exhibits to go through. The ones above were the water ones. I didn't realize how wet they could get.
I love this picture of the dry ice.
They have a tunnel that takes you back into different time eras. They make it feel like your right there in the 1900's than the 1960's.
Jaden thought this was so funny. We were in the space exhibi here. He is showing us how astronauts go to the bathroom. It did not look pleasant to say the least, there was a vacuum to attach to yourself.
They had a show with a scientist that blew up stuff, it was pretty exciting.
The boys being goofy.

Jesus is better than Santa!

Jesus is Better than Santa
Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. and then enters your heart.
You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.
Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.
It's obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christ mas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christ mas.
Jesus is still the reason for the season.
May the Lord Bless and Watch over you and your loved ones this Christmas 2008
And may He prosper and bless the work of your hands in the New Year.
God bless you all !

Yearly Gingerbread house and a class party

Every year the boys make a gingerbread house. It is really fun for all of us really. This year the icing was such a mess. It was my fault I cut to much off the icing tip and it just globed everywhere.
So fun!
Jaden came home with this picture from school. He said, "Mom this picture is a Abstract." He went on to give me the definition. It is amazing what he is learning at school. He has learned so much already. He has this ring of site words almost down, he is writing sentecnes and reading easy books. It is amazing what they do in Kindergarten. The stuff we learned like buttoning and tying shoes are things of the past. He still has not mastered the tying. We told him we would get him a Wii when he did. Secretly mom and dad want one so we figured it was a good plan (:
Here is Jaden's teacher Mrs D. It is amazing how our children can be so angelic at school. I was there on Thur for their party and Jaden was so calm and responsible. A lot of the kids were bouncing off the walls at one point. This little teacher can get them in line with the clap of her hands. I'm thinking to myself how come at home it isn't that easy. They do all these cute things to keep the kids disciplined. Like when she claps they put their hands on their heads. They pretend that their mouths are full with bubbles while they walk down the hallways and cross their arms and give themselves hugs. It is amazing how well all the kids do. I really love our schools, they seem to really care.
You can see why they were so hyper but doesn't that sugur cookie look good?
My little reindeer. Have a good weekend.. Rob is out shopping now for me, nothing like waiting to the last minute. His intentions are good, he has had a list since Nov he told me but he never has time to go.

Trash to treasure

I call this vintage owl Owen. He was $1 at my local thrift store. A coat of spray paint and some sandpapering and now we have the new improved Owen Owl.
I love nothing more then finding treasures. Especially the ones that look like trash. It is so fun to see the potential. Above is this birdcage. You all know I love birdcages so I could not let this one pass by. The ivy was awful.... remove the ivy and now this has a new place in my house.

This sort of thing is so addicting, there seems to be endless potential in old items.

Merry Christmas From Lauren!

I thought these were cute of Lauren wearing her pretty girl dress. We went to watch Drew at his preschool Christmas program so I dressed her up.
She didn't know what to think of the itchy stuff underneath.
Watch out here come her belly. This little thing can pack away the food and then her belly sticks out real far when she's done.

I need to get some more wrapping done, it seems that this month is really going fast for me.. Thanks everyone for all your nice comments it makes me happy to have such nice friends.

Anyone watch HGTV 25 Holiday ideas?

Although there were some beautiful ideas like the above, I thought there were some really wacky ideas!! The hosts were so fake how they thought some of the viewers ideas were so great. I was thinking are you serious. One woman decorated her kitty litter box. There were some pretty gaudy wreaths along the way too..
I thought this was neat the holders outside of the candle were made of ice. I kept thinking this is pretty but it is going to melt. Most people keep there houses above frigged temperatures and with the candle by it it would not be worth the effort, wouldn't it melt?
This was one of those ugly ideas. That is my opinion though it might be pretty to some. I dont' like modern styles at all.
I thought this was cute but again not practical. Most places it snows and rains so why would you put your Christmas ( I'm so sick of hearing "Holiday Cards") out on the door.
I thoght these were awesome and would be fun to make with the kids, very cute. If you saw the show what did you think??

Lauren and her new baby

Rob was in Belpre,Oh last week we used to live there for only a year (: or so a few years back one of our many job transfers. He travels all the time with his job. The Lee Middleton Doll Factory is there. He met with them they do some shipping with the company he works for. She asked about our family, he has had a business relationship for a while. He told her about Lauren and she went over to the store and gave him a doll for her. The doll is simply adorable. Now I want more for her. They are similar to American Girl dolls and cost about the same so this was a nice little treat.. She loves the doll.
Lauren and Savannah doll

So cute! We got her the cutest baby for Christmas it looks just like her. Can't wait for her to get that one too..
